Open Town Hall

Atherton Launches Open Town Hall

Atherton has launched Atherton Open Town Hall at , an exciting online platform designed to engage citizens in a conversation that will harness their input on important Town issues.
Town officials will read the statements and incorporate them into the decision-making process. Further, the Town aims to empower citizens by providing them information on each issue to enrich online comments and to provide more opportunities for citizen interaction and engagement.

The first topic on Atherton Open Town Hall asks “What are your preferred priorities for the City Council?” You can read what others are saying about the topic, and share your own opinion at .
Peak Democracy, a non-partisan company based in California, developed the online platform. Their mission is to broaden civic engagement and build public trust in government. About 100 other cities and counties across the country are using Open City Hall including Arlington County VA, Saint Paul MN, Ann Arbor MI, Palo Alto CA, and Salt Lake City UT.
Below is more information about the first topic within the new portal.
