America Recycles Day Event

RethinkWaste, in collaboration with Recology San Mateo County and South Bay Recycling, will host its second annual celebration of “America Recycles Day”.

This free event is scheduled for Saturday, November 19th, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Shoreway Environmental Center, 333 Shoreway Road, San Carlos, rain or shine.

This year’s event will feature a compost giveaway, tours of the Shoreway Environmental Center (recycling facility unavailable), shredding and e-waste recycling, arts and crafts, and more.

Additionally, the winners of RethinkWaste’s third annual America Recycles Day Poster Contest, open to all 3rd through 5th grade classes in the RethinkWaste service area, will be recognized at the event. The winning posters will be on display, providing attendees an opportunity to see the creativity of local youth.

The free compost is for residents only, no commercial customers, while supplies last. Paper bags and shovels will be provided for attendees to use, or they may bring their own containers. Shredding is limited to 3 standard size banker boxes (10”x12”x15”) per household. Shredding will stop at the end of the event or when the truck is full whichever comes first.

Local Municipal Service

Have you checked out our Local Municipal Services webpage? We recently updated and added to it.

The webpage was created to help the community with obtaining better service information about the municipal services they receive as an Atherton resident.

We hope you find it useful.

Thank You!

Don't forget to Vote!

Last chance! A black ballot box is set up in the lobby at Town Hall. You can drop your ballot off anytime on Monday or Tuesday of next week between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

Have a good weekend.
