Volunteers Needed

San Mateo County is holding a Community Day of Action on Saturday, January 10th from 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Redwood City to increase awareness about Human Trafficking in our community and to assemble teams of people to distribute posters with victim resource information to mandated businesses and organizations throughout the County.

The Community Day of Action will include an introduction about human trafficking and what the public-at-large can do, a brief training and orientation, and then you will be assigned to a team of 2 or more volunteers and given a list of mandated businesses to visit to distribute SB 1193 posters. Please wear comfortable clothes and good walking shows, as each team may have to walk about one mile or so to visit businesses on their list.

To register (required) use the following link:

After registering and closer to the January 10 date, you will receive and email highlighting the next steps. For questions and more information, please email Rose Mukhar, the volunteer coordinator for SB1193, at or call (650) 363-4184.
