New Civic Center Project

The Civic Center Advisory Committee continues to with WRNS Studios, LLP on the Schematic Design Phase, which includes fine-tuning of room sizes and relationships, systems, interior spaces, and preparation of preliminary elevation studies of the buildings’ exteriors.
The new civic center needs a lot of public input and participation along the way so we encourage you to get involved at every stage. We want your input!
Join us at this community meeting to review and provide input on the latest preliminary plans for the new civic center including police and library facilities from your architects, WRNS Studio, LLP.

Subsequent to the Community Meeting, the CCAC will meet to refine details on the following dates:

Civic Center Outreach Assistance

Interested in joining the campaign? We need you.

The CCAC currently has an ad-hoc committee of CCAC members who focus solely on public outreach for the project. The ad-hoc committee is looking to add resident members to assist with public outreach.

Bike Pedestrian Plans

The Town will begin Phase 1 improvements of the bike pedestrian plan. Improvements will include the placement of bike route signs and shared lane markings (sharrows) on the pavement. These improvements will help inform users that the routes are designated for shared use of bicycles and vehicles.

A construction schedule is being developed and construction is due to start sometime this winter - final schedule dependent on weather conditions.  The schedule will become public once it is finalized. Work will be completed during off peak travel periods to minimize disruption to the public.

The limits of work for Phase I are:
  1. Elena Avenue – between Valparaiso Avenue and Atherton Avenue;
  2. Faxon Road – between Barry Avenue and Elena Avenue;
  3. Barry Lane – between Faxon Road and Atherton Avenue;
  4. Selby Lane – between Atherton Avenue and West Selby Lane;
  5. Dinkelspiel Station Lane – between Watkins Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue
  6. Austin Avenue – between Atherton Avenue and West Selby Lane;
  7. Atherton Avenue – between Alameda De Las Pulgas and El Camino Real;
  8. Fair Oaks Avenue – between El Camino Real and Middlefield Road;
  9. Alejandra Avenue – between El Camino Real and Emilie Avenue;
  10. Emilie Avenue – between Alejandra Avenue and Valparaiso Avenue;
  11. Park Lane – between Emilie Avenue and Camino al Lago;
  12. Camino al Lago – between Park Lane and Alameda de Las Pulgas; and
  13. Watkins Avenue – between El Camino Real and Middlefield Road.

Bulky Service Reminder from Recology

Twice a year, Recology offers a scheduled pick up service to single famliy residents and individual Multi-Family residential complexes (by owner request only). Recology's Bulky Item Pick Up service is a safe and responsible way to dispose of items you no longer want or need, and offered at no additional charge.

Before you contact Recology to make an appointment, please be prepared with an accurate list of items you want picked up. PLEASE NOTE: If you have more items that are accepted in one Bulky Item Pick Up, you can choose to use both of your free pick ups for the year in one day. Please let the Customer Service Representative know this when you are scheduling the appointment.
