Upcoming Community Events

We need your input!

First, the Town will hold a community workshop on Class I and Class II feasibility and preliminary design alternates for bike lanes in Atherton

The City hired a consultant in March 2015 to develop preliminary engineering concepts and cost estimates for Class I and Class II paths and to develop bid documents for Class III bike routes (installation of signage/sharrows).

The intent is to complete the Class III Route Plans Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) this spring to allow for implementation in the summer of 2015. Potential Feasibility and Constraints associated with the Class I and II bike facilities will be presented by the Consultant at Public Workshops. The Phase I Implementation webpage has additional data on implementation.

Date   - Tuesday, November 17, 2015
Time   - 6:00 to 7:30 PM
Location - Jennings Pavilion, Holbrook-Palmer Park, 150  Watkins Avenue

Additionally, the Town will be holding a separate community meeting to gather feedback on the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program.

The Neighborhood Traffic Management Program is a policy document that will help the community address the growing concerns of traffic volumes and speeds around homes and schools. Town Staff will present the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program, outline the next steps for approval and implementation and seek feedback from the public on the proposed program.

Date   - Tuesday, December 8, 2015
Time   - 6:00 to 7:30 PM
Location - Jennings Pavilion, Holbrook-Palmer Park, 150  Watkins Avenue
