ADAPT Meeting - Saturday, August 11

The Atherton Disaster and Preparedness Team (ADAPT) meeting typically held on the first Saturday of each month has been moved to Saturday, August 11 from 9:00am to 10:30am at the Atherton Town Council Chambers. To find out morre about ADAPT please visit the Town's website or the ADAPT website

Art Classes in the Park

The Atherton Arts Foundation holds several fun arts related classes in the Atherton Arts Foundation room (basement of main house) at Holbrook-Palmer Park, 150 Watkins Ave.

The classes include botanical art with colored pencils, oil pastels and live drawing/sketching. For a complete class schedule CLICK HERE.

Spend an Evening with the Police

On Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Town of Atherton will host its fifth annual National Night Out in the Park at Holbrook-Palmer Park, 150 Watkins Ave.

National Night Out is a nation-wide program designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support and participation in crime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community relations, and let criminals know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.  Atherton residents are asked to turn on their outside lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police at Holbrook-Palmer Park. 

Residents are encouraged to come and have fun and use the time to discuss neighborhood issues with their local police and set neighborhood goals and Watch Programs. 

The event will include a Red E. Fox, balloon makers and face painters, snow cones and cotton candy, music, a jumpy house, and a BBQ. Bring the family our for an evening of fun and entertainment with your local safety personnel.

Concerts in the Park

The Town had a successful first concert in the park last night. More than 200 people were in attendance to listen to Livewire kick off the series. The weather was perfect and there was lots of dancing! 

Join us for the remaining two Summer Concert Series at Holbrook-Palmer Park! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets as the event will be in a grassy area. You are welcome to bring refreshments and snacks. There will also be a featured food truck for the night where you can purchase amazing food!
