The next City Council Regular Meeting will be held on December 21st at 6 PM. At this meeting Council will hold its annual Re-Organization where the Mayor and Vice Mayor are selected for 2023.

Peninsula Human Society & SCPA's Animal Rescue & Control

Did you know Peninsula Humane Society & SCPA’s Animal Rescue & Control department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help animals and residents of San Mateo County?

Professional and dedicated rescue staff provide the following services:

Pick up of stray domestic animals
Responding to animal bites and attacks
Rescuing sick and injured animals
Assisting public safety agencies when requested
Enforcement of laws that protect animals and people

For matters that need a response from Animal Rescue & Control, please call 650-340-8200. Calls are prioritized based on the animal services agreement with San Mateo County.

Dead animal reporting: please call 650-340-7022 ext. 603 to leave a message.

Barking dog complaints: please contact your local police.

Town Tree Lighting & Holiday Celebration

The 1st Tree Lighting and Holiday Celebration event took place last week at the Atherton Library. Town Staff was thankful to partner with the Atherton Library Team and the Friends of the Atherton Community Library (FACL) to host residents and neighbors. Below are a few photos from the event.

Atherton Police - Toy Drive

The 2022 Adelante Selby Spanish Immersion School Toy Drive led by the Police is back! The last day to drop off unwrapped gifts in Monday, December 19th. The gifts are for children ages 5-10.

A.D.A.P.T Emergency Preparedness Tips

It’s a possibility that after an earthquake, your home will not be habitable, but your backyard will be! Prepare your home cache for this scenario. Practice camping out with your family and kids--use a tent, sleeping bags, lights, food, and anything else.
