[ARCHIVED] Suspicious Activity - Bellbrook Lane & Atherton Avenue

On Sunday, June 11, residents returned home in the 100 block of Atherton Avenue after being away for several days.  Upon returning home, they found a rear window smashed and it appeared an unknown subject or subjects entered the residence and removed 4-5 necklaces and earrings.  The subject(s) also left behind their own personal items before leaving the residence.

On Monday, June 12, an employee of a family residing on Bellbrook Lane arrived to find a large window broken and a female subject sleeping on a couch inside.  When the employee left the room to call the police, the female left in an unknown direction by an unknown means. It appears that the female subject was at the residence long enough to prepare food that she brought with her, wash the dishes she used and had time to put a load of laundry in the washing machine.  The subject also left behind personal items such as keys, cigarettes and a pair of shoes.

The subject in the latter case is described as a possible Polynesian female, approximately 40 years old with dark brown shoulder length hair and wearing a blue flower top, blue jeans and no shoes as they were left behind.

Please be alert to unusual activity in your neighborhood and contact the Atherton Police if you suspect any suspicious activity.  Remember to set home alarms when away and make sure a video surveillance system is working properly if it’s available.
