APPROVAL OF MINUTES – December 1, 2020 Recommendation: Approve minutes for December 1, 2020 The February 2, 2021 Rail Committee Meeting was cancelled due to lack of quorum. 4. PRESENTATIONS – None 5. 5a. Atherton Caltrain Station Closure Update (15 min.) The Committee will receive a brief report on current status of the mitigation items associated with the closure of the Atherton Caltrain Station including the status of fencing installation, platform removal, Watkins Avenue safety improvements, and related funding agreements. The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss current and upcoming issues and activities as well as related items. Not an action item.
5b. Fair Oaks Avenue Quiet Zone Filing (5 min.) The Committee will receive a brief report on required filings associated with the existing Quiet Zone. The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss current and upcoming issues and activities associated with the Quiet Zone as well as related items. Not an action item.
5c. Caltrain Update (10 min.) The Committee will receive a brief report on current issues associated with Caltrain including the Peninsula Corridor Electrification project, governance changes, and other related items. The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss current and upcoming issues and activities as well as related items. Not an action item. 5d. High-Speed Rail Update (5 min.) The Committee will receive a brief report on current status of High-Speed Rail. The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss current and upcoming activities as well as related items. Not an action item. 5e. Litigation Update (5 min.) The Committee will receive a brief report on current status of litigation with the High-Speed Rail Authority. The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss current and upcoming activities as well as related items. Not an action item.
5f. Dumbarton Rail Corridor Update (10 min.) The Committee will receive a brief report on current status of the Samtrans Dumbarton Rail project. The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss the Dumbarton Rail project as well as related items. Not an action item. 5g. Recognition of Malcolm Dudley (20 min.) The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss and recognize the outstanding contributions and efforts of Malcolm Dudley on behalf of the Committee and the Town. The Committee may act to recommend further recognition of Malcolm Dudley’s contributions and may assign a subcommittee to further develop such recognition.
