2. DISCUSSION ON ATHERTON MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 17.50 “LANDSCAPE SCREENING” - LANDSCAPE SCREENING REGULATIONS IN THE FRONT OF PROPERTIES.

Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council receive a report from staff on the Town’s Municipal Code regulations regarding landscape screening, possible amendments relative to requiring landscape screening in the front of properties and provide direction to staff.
Description: This item involves discussion by the Council regarding the possibility of considering amendments to the Town’s Landscape Screening Ordinance specifically concerning regulations in the front of properties. The Council will receive a report and discuss the existing regulations and preliminary Town staff feedback of such amendments. The Council may provide direction to staff as to whether to further evaluate the topic of possible amendments to regulations about Landscape Screening in Town.

3. REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF A POSSIBLE TOWN OF ATHERTON CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT TAX; AND PROVIDE STAFF WITH FEEDBACK AND DIRECTION FOR NEXT STEPS

Recommendation: Review and discussion of a possible Town Construction and Development Tax; and provide staff with feedback and direction for next steps.
Description: This item presents discussion related to a possible Construction /Development Tax for the Town. The Council may provide feedback and direction to staff regarding this type of tax, its application, the ballot measure process, and revenue alternatives.
