3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES April 2, 2019 and June 4, 2019
Recommendation: Approve minutes for April 2, 2019 and June 4, 2019

5. REGULAR AGENDA

5a. Election of Chair and Vice Chair (15 min)
The Committee will review recently adopted term durations and discuss the positions and duties of Chair and Vice Chair.  The Committee will act to appoint a Chair and Vice Chair for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.

5b. Peninsula Corridor Electrification Project Update and Discussion (5 min.)
The Committee will receive a brief report on current activities related to Caltrain’s electrification of the peninsula corridor.  The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss current and upcoming activities as well as related items.  Not an action item.
   
5c. Caltrain 2040 Business Plan Update (30 min.)
The Committee will receive a brief report on Caltrain’s 2040 Business Plan, including Caltrain’s long range service vision, preferred growth alternative and Organizational Analysis. The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss the business plan development, alternatives, impacts to the Town of Atherton, the Caltrain organizational assessment report as well as related items.  Not an action item. 5d.  San Mateo County Grand Jury Report regarding the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (PCJPB) and Grade Separations
The Committee will receive a brief report on the San Mateo Grand Jury Report titled “GRADE SEPARATIONS – BYPASSES TO GREATER SAFETY”.  The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss the grand jury report, its recommendations, proposed grade separations in nearby communities, related items and impacts to the Town of Atherton. 5e. High Speed Rail Northern California Route Update (30 min.)
The Committee will receive a brief report on current status of High Speed Rail including recently released information regarding the preferred alternative for the Northern California segment and route, environmental and project timeline, planned community outreach and upcoming selection of the preferred alternative for the northern California route by the HSR Board.  The Committee will have the opportunity to discuss current and upcoming activities as well as related items.  Not an action item.
