ATHERTON EARTH DAY 2020! Please join us for our 2020 Atherton Earth Day celebration on Sunday, April 26th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Jennings Pavilion in Holbrook Palmer Park. This will be a movie screening and educational event on current topics related to climate change, energy efficiency, and water quality. The Town, with support from the Environmental Programs Committee, will be showing "Ice on Fire" and hosting local organizations to share sustainable resources. 

The event program will feature:

  1. Ice on Fire
    Produced by Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio, George DiCaprio and Mathew Schmid and directed by Leila Conners, Ice on Fire is an eye-opening documentary that focuses on many never-before-seen solutions designed to slow down our escalating environmental crisis.

  2. Virtual Reality Experience,
    Multiple virtual reality experiences available for the community to experience and learn about the earth and climate change in a unique way.

  3. Art Exhibit
    Sustainability and Climate Action Themed Art featuring Community and Local Youth Art.

  4. Sustainable Resources, Products & Opportunities
    Brought to you by local Sustainability & Climate Action Based Organizations.

  5. Movie Theater Popcorn and Free Swag!

Admission is free. This event is suitable for all ages but will especially provide inspiration for those concerned about climate change, home energy efficiency, and water quality. Light refreshments will be provided.
