The Town is working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop solutions to help improve the El Camino Real/Selby Lane intersection. This is a preliminary step, looking to determine the potential feasibility and costs associated with improving the intersection. Funds for design and implementation have not been identified and a timetable has not been set.
The Town has hired a consultant to conceptually develop and perform preliminary analysis of improvement alternatives. The project team has met with adjacent stakeholder agencies, Caltrans, San Mateo County and Redwood City to review the options and to discuss potential impacts of each alternative. The Town is looking to present the alternatives to the public at a community meeting (PDF)in February and to obtain feedback on each alternative (Click here for the 4 Alternatives (PDF)).
Staff hopes to use the preliminary concepts developed and feedback received to develop grant applications seeking funds to design and implement the preferred alternate.
