Upon your request, the Atherton Police Department will provide a personal check of your property and residence during business or vacation trips . As a service to residents who feel special attention is required for their security for a brief period, the Police Department will periodically do a "drive by" check of your property (Spot check). People find this service valuable when they are home alone, have lost the keys to their house, have received suspicious telephone calls, when there are neighborhood / employee problems, and when there have been publicized absences from home.
