COMMUNITY SCULPTURE PROJECT Many hands participated in the Community Sculpture Project this summer, creating a public art piece under the guidance of B.J. Stevenson. Members of the community participated in all phases of this process, including actual carving with hammer and chisel, to finishing with rasp and sanding stones. Collaboration of artist and community transformed a 2500-lbs. featherstone into a sculpture that is a permanent addition to our town's public space. The work was unveiled at a town-wide celebration at the Atherton Library, featuring the Harvard Din and Tonics. Thanks, Robin Russell-Gibson for overseeing this fabulous project!
