Event Flier

Town officials in conjunction with the Menlo Park Fire District, ADAPT, Atherton Police, CHP, Red Cross, USGS and many more will host an  interactive community meeting to provide education/information to town residents about the potential issues and risks in a major disaster.

There will be presentations by the various officials and then a “trade show” of sorts with various tables set up for various emergency prep entities, such as emergency equipment/supply vendors, knowledgeable experts to talk to, civilian neighborhood organizer and trainers, etc. where attendees can get additional information, buy supplies and talk directly to people in their neighborhoods.

The event will include raffle prizes and a free "Get Ready Atherton" tote which you can use to fill with valuable resources and information from the event.

Meet the Mayor

Atherton Mayor Rick DeGolia continues to hold Office Hours on Tuesday afternoons in the City Council Chambers from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

However, Mr. DeGolia will not have office hours for the next two weeks because of prior commitments. The Mayor's office hours will resume on Tuesday, March 17 at noon in the City Council Chambers.

Bring your own lunch and come have a chat with the Mayor about your ideas and concerns as they relate to Town matters.

Open Town Hall - Coming Soon

Recently, the Council approved a new online civic engagement tool called Open Town Hall. Open Town Hall is a cloud-based online civic engagement platform that helps to increase public participation. Open Town Hall will allow the Town to increase the public engagement process, focus on feedback from its constituents, and keep the dialogue civil and legal.

The Town plans to go “live” with its first Open Town Hall topic in early March.  Please keep any eye out for the first topic which will be relevant to the upcoming Council priorities which will be set at an annual retreat in spring.
