New Drainage Projects in Town

Now that the large Channel restoration project has been completed along Marsh Road, the Public Works Department is moving forward to additional projects both big and small. In design currently are the following projects that will bring some much needed infrastructure issues under control.

  • Culvert pipe replacements - the following failed culverts are in design right now for replacement, are funded in the Capital Improvement Plan, and will begin as soon as this spring: Camino al Lago at Monte Vista, Euclid Ave. at Stockbridge and Polhemus Ave (W of Selby).
  • Valley Pan replacements – six valley pan (gutter) replacements are in design now and are funded for replacement this spring/summer. These include all pans (6) along Stockbridge Ave, between Shearer and Serrano Ave.
  • Euclid/Parker drainage ditch – this ditch line that runs along the backyards of the homes between the streets is in design and depending on funding availability may begin in the 2017-18 fiscal year.
  • Upper Atherton Channel – the channel is being studied between Valley Road and Alameda for potential sites for bank stabilization and creek restoration.
